Parmaraj Singh Umranangal appeared in court today and gave his written consent for the narco test.  In fact, the new SIT formed in the Kotkapura Golikand case submitted the application for permission for a narco test in the court but Former DGP Sumedh Saini, former SSP Charanjit Sharma had turned down but IG Parmaraj Singh Umranangal agreed to this test.

As a result, he appeared in court and submitted his consent letter to the court through his lawyer. It was there that Umranangal met the media for the first time.

Speaking to the media for the first time, Umranangal said, “I have been supporting every investigation team from the very beginning and I will continue to do so.” Umranangal said he still agreed to the narco test at the request of SIT.

Speaking to the media, IG Umranangal revealed that it was not his choice to engage in the Kotkapura event. He was simply following orders given to him by headquarters.

He said, “I will still support even if I take the narco test five times, but there should be Kunwar Vijay Pratap’s narco test who treated me like this due to a personal grudge.”

Kunwar Vijay Pratap mistakenly links Umranangal to the Behbal Kalan case, but he was never there, so he should not be blamed for such events.

“My presence at the time of the Kotkapura incident was as per the rules but due to my absence in Behbal Golikand, I was nominated,” he said. “I will continue to co-operate fully in the investigation,” ex IG Umranangal said.

Ex-DGP Sumedh Saini dispensed from appearing in Kotkapura firing case

ex-DGP Sumedh Saini finally appears in court

The court granted the exemption to Saini after his lawyer claimed that the SIT’s investigation into the Kotkapura firing case was overturned by the High Court on April 9, 2021, DGP was devoid of any merit.

However, allowing the exemption from personal appearance for today, the court ordered Saini’s lawyer to ensure the former DGP’s presence in court on May 10 and asked him to be available in the High Court.

Protesters Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Gurjit Singh were killed in alleged police shooting at Behbal Kalan on October 14, 2015, just hours after police resorted to the cane charge and fired at Kotkapura to disperse the people protesting against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.

Faridkot District Attorney Rajnish Goyal said, “After briefly reviewing the details of the cases, the court adjourned the cases until April 27 to begin arguments on the formulation of the charges.”

Kotakpura Firing Case: AAP Demands narco Test of Parkash Singh Badal

Kotakpura Firing Case AAP Demands narco Test of Parkash Singh Badal

Former Punjab DGP in Kotkapura firing case Sumedh Saini and former SSP Charanjit Sharma’s refusal to undergo a narco test proves that the Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and BJP government were responsible for the incidents of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib.

To find out the truth about Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan, former DGP Saini and former SSP Charanjit are imperative that the Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Home Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal also undergo narco tests

This was stated by AAP Kisan Wing President Kultar Singh Sandhwan. In a statement, Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Manvinder Singh Giaspura said that the refusal of Saini and Sharma to conduct a narco test on the police officers involved in the case by the newly constituted inquiry committee through a court was very important.

However, the suspended IG Parmaraj Singh Umranangal has agreed to undergo a narco test but the refusal by Saini and Sharma is a vicious attempt to cover up the sins committed by the Badal government.

Mr. Sandhwan said that the first committee of inquiry into Golikand had convicted these former police officers but the Captain government was not taking any concrete steps to expose the sin of Badals.

The Badals including these police officers should also undergo narco tests so that the truth about the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib, Kotkapura Golikand, and other incidents can be exposed.

We can how the ex-IG Paramraj Singh got agreed to narco test and co-operate fully in the investigation. Where others refuse the narco test and go against the SIT. IG Umranangal is not expected to be involved in the case.

We have confidence in our justice system and justice must be served to the case and to the innocent.
